Abstract

This narrative review examines the efficacy and scope of prevention and therapy interventions for digital addiction among adolescents. Through a systematic analysis of peer-reviewed articles published between 2013 and 2023, this review identifies effective strategies and highlights research gaps. Cognitive behavioral therapy emerges as the predominant intervention, often incorporating parental involvement. However, limitations include small sample sizes, lack of long-term follow-up, and the absence of software-mediated therapies specifically designed for adolescents. The review also underscores the need for more diverse study populations, as existing research is concentrated in a few geographic regions. Future research should explore technology-based solutions tailored to adolescent needs and extend study durations to enhance treatment outcomes.
